What are Street Audits?

A street audit is an assessment of the pedestrian safety, accessibility, and comfort of a particular area. It can help identify places where pedestrians are able to safely walk and where improvements can be made. Participants are encouraged to pay special attention to wheelchair access, exercise spaces, and safe bike/pedestrian transportation.

What’s collected on the digital street audit tool?

  • Pedestrian Facility Issues
  • Bicycle Facility Issues
  • Intersection Safety
  • Driver Behavior
  • Pedestrian or Bicyclist Behavior
  • Aesthetics and Geography
  • Photos! Be sure to also add photos for accurate reporting!

By participating in this effort, we hope to encourage better short-term and long-term improvements on our city streets!
